To be successful in this writing practice, students need a continuous stream of structured feedback, helping them build on what they already know and encouraging them to write with focus. Whether teachers are using writer’s workshop or a more structured curriculum, managing a thoughtful writing program should be flexible to a teacher's instruction, yet motivating for the student .
