Develop visual search engines that identify unique points of interest in the outdoor urban environment and highlight them in Augmented Reality. The engines are middleware between in-car infotainment systems and location-based services. Using the engine, automotive OEMs, Tier Ones, and after-market providers, could attract and monetize the attention of connected car passengers to the in-car embedded clients. The engine will enable location-based services such as social networks, travel, and local content providers, to use a high-frequency content delivery mechanism that is much more engaging than existing mobile experiences. Passengers will be able to explore the visual space around them for commercial, social, or any other location-based content or service, first hand.
