Vitamica is using optical technology from the School of Physics at the University of Bristol to commercialise a rapid diagnostic method for bacterial infections. The technology, Sub-Cellular Fluctuation Imaging, detects nanoscale fluctuations, that are present when bacteria are alive, in real time.
