Based in Houston, Texas, the company operates primarily in the United States, but also has operations in Canada, Venezuela, Argentina, Columbia, and Australia. CHPIII and management acquired the company in February 1998 in a transaction valued at $360 million. The company's existing management remains in place after the acquisition.
