University of Information Technology & Sciences - UITS

UITS officially started its journey on 7th August 2003 with 3 students and since then it has grown rapidly to a cohort of over 3000 students including 100+ international students with more than 100 highly qualified full-time faculties including 54 + modern Laboratories. As of today, UITS has over 18,000 proud successful Alumni. The university now offers a broad selection of courses in 16 Academic programs within Four Faculties of Law, Liberal Arts & Social Science, Business, and Science and Engineering. UITS has now embarked on a mission towards a Center of Excellence, with a motto of Quality Education at an Affordable Cost. UITS is rapidly moving ahead. Today’s UITS is far better than, yesterday and we have full determination that tomorrow’s UITS will be one of the best, having the rank among top-3 leading private universities in Bangladesh. UITS is committed to be the highest quality in teaching, learning, research and a wide range of professional and community activities. Our strategic outlook is therefore to make significant growth in basic science, engineering information technology, liberal arts, social science, law and business research into targeted industry-driven solutions. World today is in constant change. New technologies are being developed, new business models are emerging, consumer/ societal behaviours are evolving. This ever-increasing pace of changes and advances is especially demanding for the universities to be more adaptive and competitive in their academic and research programs. Accordingly, UITS has already taken many significant measures and initiatives with renewed commitments towards achieving our targets. Remarkable developments include: fascinating and stunning new own campus, dedicated own student bus services, up to date world standard out-come based course curriculum, recruitment of highly qualified full-time faculties, upgrading of class room and laboratory facilities including establishment of dedicated highly configured fast supercomputer laboratories, introduction to well established bi-semester system, smart class routine, strict adherence to regulations, disciplines and conduct of exams absolutely free from any sort of unfairness, decent and caring well established academic environment, on-line student records and automation of academic and administrative activities.
