Trans-Star Automotive Equipment was acquired by KT Capital as an add-on to portfolio company, Filterworks USA, in April 2019. Trans-Star provides products and services to the collision repair and automobile dealer markets. The company is located in Monroe, NC, just outside of Charlotte. The founder, Jeff Bass, has been actively involved in the automotive and collision repair industry for more than 30 years and will continue to run the day to day of Trans-Star. The Trans-Star acquisition expands the footprint of the Filterworks USA business to South and North Carolina and enables the company to better serve this dynamic industry.
