tofs was established in 1969 and since then we’ve been getting bigger and more successful each year. We are one of the fastest growing retailers in the UK with over 219 stores across the country! We retail a wide variety of goods for all ages and genders including clothing, footwear, cosmetics and fragrance, fashion accessories, electrical goods, housewares, home furnishings and toys, along with an Online Extra Range that offers great deals on electrical, furniture and fashion lines. This mix is carefully chosen and represents a big part of our unique trading proposition. A unique business: The breadth of offer and location strategy make our business unique. Discounted brands such as Vax, Tefal, Philips and Adidas as well as labels from other top retailers like M&S and Next are sold at a significant saving. This reinforces the value credentials of the company and further differentiates our retail proposition from our competitors. tofs is positioned in the value retail sector; trading from over 210 stores nationwide and online. Our stores are typically between 7,000 and 10,000 square foot and are based in small towns and domestic tourist locations, where they act as both a shopping destination and the local non-food convenience store within the heart of the community. We open stores in specially selected locations where we can continue to offer low prices on a wide range of big name brands. This gives local communities the chance to have their own department store where they would otherwise be deprived of the choice, variety and savings that our stores offer. A positive impact: We began backing the Make-A-Wish UK charity in 2016 and have already raised over £120,000 for this great cause that helps make the dreams of poorly children come true. A growing success: tofs is determined to continue its growth strategy and build on our previous success regardless of the challenging economy. Each year we have consistently improved our year on year sales, despite operating in the retail sector that has led to other companies having difficulties brought about by the current economic climate by investing in new stores each year, and refitting those stores that would benefit from a little TLC. The group has big plans for this growth to continue and strongly believe there is potential for up to 600 tofs stores throughout the UK. We are aiming to open 10 more stores this year, and continue to refit other stores around our estate, combined with our continual investment in infrastructure and IT systems, and most of all the people who make tofs a great company to work for. These are exciting times for tofs and we are confident that our growth and success will continue.
