Music brings people together - on blogs, in conversations between friends, and at live shows between complete strangers. We want to bring that passion and connectivity to ticket exchange by introducing transparency and trust to each transaction. That way we can create a community of good people trying to pay it forward, not scalpers and brokers selling to the highest bidder.
Ticket Karma is marketplace for good people - bringing simplicity, trust, and community to the secondary ticket market.
The project originally came together because we really just wanted something like this to exist - honestly. As avid music fans ourselves, we constantly find it impossible to find reasonably priced tickets to concerts in the secondary market (think craigslist, stubhub, etc.). Also, as weird as it sounds, we have a considerable amount of difficulty selling tickets when our plans change (even though we know someone out there would love them). After finding the current process to be impersonal, complicated, and down-right annoying, we decided to build Ticket Karma.
We built Ticket Karma with the hope that it somehow helps you and solves all the pain points of the existing systems. We want to keep the prices low, the community transparent, and the process seamless and easy. Because in the end, it's really just about sharing the live music experience and connecting with people. Isn't that what it's all about?
