Our business began in 1964 when Bob Anderson purchased his first store in Maynard, Massachusetts. Originally a stationery store, The Paper Store began to evolve into a sophisticated and diverse operation that includes beautiful Gifts, Social Expressions, Fashion & Fashion Accessories, Bath & Body, Social Stationery & Custom Invitations, Infant Fashion & Specialty Gifts, Home Décor & Tabletop, Educational Toys & Games, Gourmet Foods, Best-Selling Books for all ages, and so much more! As you walk through the cheerful aisles of The Paper Store, you encounter unique offerings for everyone on your gift list; and at least one irresistible item for yourself!
We consider each department a store within a store, complete with well-informed Gift Specialists that are happy to help customers find the perfect gift or answer a question. We truly consider The Paper Store a place where everyone is treated like family! Our stores are dedicated to customer service above all else, a rare find with today’s trend of superstores.
In the decades since Bob’s first store opened, The Paper Store is proud to boast a rapidly expanded retail footprint… and we’ve only just begun! Seven family members, as well as a myriad of spouses, cousins and friends, work diligently together analyzing retail trends and continuing their mission to bring the highest quality in customer service along with many thousands of high value items and ideas from the world’s finest gift lines to our customers.
