Teton Simulation Software is an advanced materials simulation company. Our team has decades of experience in structural analysis of composite materials with a rich history of development and commercialization of sophisticated material models geared towards structural behavior and progressive failure analysis. We are also an NSF-funded software developer for Additive Manufacturing. The pace of innovation in Additive Manufacturing is relentless. New applications, machines and processes abound. Initially a tool for prototyping, Additive Manufacturing is rapidly emerging as a viable manufacturing process for production. As companies eye additive manufacturing for production parts, it is critical to understand whether the part will have the necessary strength and stiffness to perform under end-use conditions. Teton addresses this challenge with advanced simulation software that can predict the structural performance of a 3d printed part. Teton is particularly adept at analyzing parts containing chopped or continuous fiber. Teton’s focus is to ensure that every 3d printed part is optimally engineered early in the design phase where iteration and change are relatively inexpensive. Teton’s software is intended to be a one-stop desktop solution for the product development engineer, allowing for iterative structural design with minimal effort. Moreover, Teton’s solution is driven toward an “in-CAD” offering, making it accessible to the widest array of design professionals. Analysis speed and simplicity will be a hallmark of Teton’s solution. Founders: Teton was founded by seasoned entrepreneurs Andy Hansen and Mike Kmetz. Hansen developed the underlying engineering technology for software company Firehole Composites that was acquired by AutoDesk in 2013. In 1986 Kmetz founded and ran IDES, a search engine for the plastics and chemicals industry. IDES was sold to Underwriter’s laboratories in 2012.
