Reamonn Soto founded Sensatek Propulsion Technology Inc., a University of Central Florida (UCF) spinout company formed to license patented technology (patent numbers: 12/821,993, 13/112,389, and 14/338,489) that wirelessly detects extreme temperature and pressure. The wireless passive sensors commercialized by Sensatek, have significant impacts on a new class of sensor technology which is suitable for harsh-environment applications such as turbines, rockets, and fuel cells. This technology can provide reliable long-term sensing to increase the efficiency, improve the operational reliability and reduce the pollution for many systems.
