Sea Warden advances the sustainability of farmed seafood through global satellite observation and a mobile platform enabling farmers to share and trade data.
We're using our remote monitoring technology to solve data challenges in aquaculture, starting with shrimp. Our goal is to help accelerate the transition to climate-smart production practices while increasing farmer income.
Sea Warden was founded at UC Berkeley and is currently based at the Hawaii Ocean Science and Technology Park, a hub of aquaculture activity on the Big Island of Hawaii.
Region Monitoring: optimizes feed production and distribution, directs input and equipment suppliers to emerging markets, supports area-based environmental monitoring, and enables impact financiers to conduct due diligence at scale.
Farm Site Monitoring: reduces the cost and complexity of managing multiple farm sites, enabling users to help more farmers boost yields and reduce crop failure, while generating data for certification and traceability applications.
