Founded in 2021, Seafood Reboot (SR) is a spin-off of the GreenTech startup Algama, which has been developing microalgae-based food products since 2013. Based on a technology supported by a €2m European grant, Seafood Reboot (SR) produces and sells plant-based substitutes mimicking seafood products from algae and microalgae in B2B. These seafood substitutes have a reduced impact on biodiversity, the marine environment (no micro plastics) and health (no heavy metals or antibiotics); while having a high nutritional quality, thanks to the algae and microalgae of which they are composed. The team at the head of the company is highly qualified to develop and deploy this project. Agrinnovation has invested alongside qualified BAs and institutional investors to develop and industrialize the technology.
