Sayans provides rural secondary schools with computers for STEM learning. Our computers are specifically designed from inexpensive Raspberry pi computers and set as desktop computers preinstalled with software containing a collection of interactive educational materials from Khan Academy and other sources, and with basic programming software. Teachers are empowered to flip the classroom and make it student centered by using Project Based Learning (PBL) techniques to incorporate the computers into their lessons. Through the renewed lessons, students understand better and attain improved results. The teachers also set up science clubs where students engage in science activities, learn entrepreneurship and idea generation with emphasis on creativity and innovation and design projects that are presented in science fairs. Projects that exhibit creativity, innovation and resourcefulness compete in the regional and national science fair competitions and get linked to business incubators.
