Sapidyne Instruments Inc. was founded in 1995 to manufacture and market instruments based on patented Kinetic Exclusion Assay (KinExA®) technology. The name Sapidyne was derived from Sapid, which is Latin for pleasing to the mind while dyne is Greek for power or force. Therefore, Sapidyne means an intellectually pleasing power or force.
Sapidyne is now operating worldwide, headquartered in Boise, Idaho. The company is still run by its founders who continue to pursue their interest in developing better measurement tools for scientists. Even though the company has grown significantly, there is still an emphasis on both supporting and learning from our customers resulting in a spiral of ever improving measurements and understanding of binding.
