Qolware GmbH

Qolware GmbH is a tech startup incubated at the Technical University of Munich specialized in the analysis of smartwatch sensor data for health tracking and emergency detection. The name Qolware is composed by the acronym “QoL”, which stands for Quality of Life, and the word “ware”, derived from the old English term “waru”, which means “products”and also “protection”. This combination of words expresses very nicely Qolware's ultimate goal: Improving people's Quality of Life. Qolware is composed by an international team of PhD researchers and professionals passionate about wearables and Internet of Things, with over 8 years of experience in algorithm development, analytics, web-enabled technologies and user experience. ​To fulfill the needs of its customers, Qolware cooperates intensively with some of the biggest hospitals and health care institutions inside and outside Germany, such as the Red Cross and the Ludwig-Maximilian University Hospital, as well as with leading telecommunication providers like Deutsche Telekom. Qolware’s smartwatch-based emergency monitor has been featured at the CeBIT as one of the highlights of 2017 in the category Research & Innovation and has gained a vast media attention spanning from TV coverage to international recognition at specialized healthcare exhibitions.
