Primary Ocean Producers develops offshore macroalgae (seaweed) cultivation systems and market consultation services as part of the Integrated Multi-Trophic Aquaculture (IMTA) solution to saving our oceans, soils, and atmosphere. Primary has made a strategic environmental impact investment in the Catalina Sea Ranch, the first offshore aquaculture facility in U.S. Federal Waters 7 Miles off the coast of Catalina Island, to develop the U.S.'s largest seaweed cultivation facility on 100 acres of federal waters as described in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers permit, with plans to expand to 1000 acres as part of the world's most advanced IMTA facility. Primary recognizes offshore ocean farming as the final frontier in the evolution of agriculture on planet Earth, and we are building the key to its sustainability. With soils depleting, and an estimated population of 10.2 billion by 2050, we have positioned ourselves to be a first mover in America's emerging and exponentially growing offshore ocean cultivation industry. Our triple bottom line business model is defined as good for the environment, good for the people, and good for the economy. The growth of seaweed in our oceans relies on photosynthesis and like trees, become the lungs of our oceans absorbing CO2 and other harmful compounds, returning oxygen back to the environment and helping de-acidify the waters. We have the ability to grow, then turn this very productive biomass into a valuable product. Primary builds impactful product lines aimed to: 1. Replace synthetic and harmful fertilizers with organic and soil enhancing fertilizer. 2. Produce healthy and environmentally friendly, drought-resistant cattle feed which reduces 70-99% of bovine methane emissions(in the form of cow farts and burps). Livestock methane accounts for almost 20% of all global greenhouse gas emissions and is far more harmful to the planet than carbon dioxide. 3. Drive awareness of seaweed's nutritious value, especially it's unique fucoidan compound, to increase human consumption as the most nutritious and cancer-fighting vegetable on the planet. Let's grow as much seaweed as possible.
