Pennsylvania Assistive Technology Foundation (PATF) provides education and financing opportunities, and advocates for people with disabilities and older Pennsylvanians, helping them to acquire assistive technology devices and services that improve the quality of their lives. PATF has two cash loan programs and staff provides consumers with information about other possible funding resources. PATF serves Pennsylvanians of all ages, income levels and disability diagnoses and health conditions.

Assistive technologies are devices that have the power to transform lives and opportunities for people with disabilities. They include items such as: an adapted vehicle that someone who uses a wheelchair can drive to go to work; an iPad with specialized applications for an individual who has difficulty talking; a stair glide for a person who has arthritis and cannot walk up stairs and wants to remain at home; a fence and security system for a child who has autism and needs extra security to explore the world and remain safe.
