Our first contact with Parabis was in September 2005, as we identified and researched the potential investment opportunities driven by planned regulatory change in the UK legal services sector that were finally implemented in the autumn 2011. However, the additional time allowed us to due diligence the sector and company thoroughly and develop relationships with the management team that would allow us ultimately to obtain exclusivity, outside any auction, with a group that is the leading provider of legal and claims management services to the insurance industry.
Parabis provides personal injury litigation services under the trading names of Plexus Law and Cogent Law, acting for a large number of blue chip insurers in the UK. Using the expertise gained from litigating approximately 200,000 cases per year, the group has diversified its services to cover a broad range of other areas including claims management outsourcing, rehabilitation, loss adjusting, and health & safety assessment and audit.
