Optecs is developing the Smart Mill Control System (SMCS), an advanced process control (APC) system enabling full and automated control of the milling process. This solution is designed around “Fuzzy Logic”, an AI computing technique using degrees of truth instead of conventional true or false. Moreover, by implementing Genetic Algorithms and Dynamic Models, SMCS will become an intelligent and self-learning software that adapts to the specific characteristics of the processing line, improving control, performance and output of the SAG/AG mill over time.
