From corneal bandages, medical monitoring devices, drug delivery vehicles, to on-the-eye display, it is clear that contact lenses are rapidly evolving beyond their original intended use for vision correction. This new era for contact lens applications will demand better eye models. Regrettably, the current standard eye model for in vitro testing consists of a fluid filled vial, which fails to simulate the intricacy of the human eye. OcfuFlow aims to revolutionize ocular research and vision science by providing researchers with a wide range of eye models for testing various contact lens applications. We are creating a next generation eye model that closely mimics the human eye to provide researchers with clinically relevant results, closing the gap between in vitro research and in vivo results. This patented eye model seamlessly mimics physiological fluid flow, physiological tear volume, as well as the blinking motion of the eye.
