Digital Economy is a cross-sectors and cross-actors driver of organizational transformations in the 21st century. It may be a leverage for sustainable development issues considering efficiency, predictability, access to markets and reduction in transaction costs and information asymmetries. It also inspires improvements in the governance, providing key information to streamline the design of initiatives aimed at enhancing the adoption of diffusion of new technologies in rural areas. 3 pilars consolidating services and products: Knowledge generation; Implementation; Governance.
