Aggregate and recommend right information to right audience in universities
Universities lack an internal communication tools. Current tools are either too focused on learning materials (course registration), or too disconnected from the university environment (eg. general social networks), leaving most of the information circulating in the university without proper tool. Noticed aims to solve this problem by rich user experience and using natural language processing to filter, sort, categorize and recommend information to students. That way the users will get the most relevant information, without the need of actively searching for specific mailing lists and websites. Universities are specially affected by this problem because they are a highly dynamic environment, with talks, lectures, events (both student and institution driven) that need constant marketing to all students. This is an expensive process, that in Aalto University translates to 1.2M? of annual spending.
