Profitable tidal energy power plant NOP is in the process of developing an innovative turbine able to produce power from tidal flow at competitive prices. A typical 2.5 MW turbine will dependent on local conditions, produce between 3000 and 5000 MWh annually. The turbines have a long maintenance free lifespan of 10 years and a total lifespan of 30 years. The turbine is being developed for low-priced and easy mass production.
