A legal tech start-up automating debt capital market documents and processes
Several types of debt capital markets transactions lend themselves to increased document automation including drawdowns under bond programmes. Drawdowns are individual issuances of bonds under a bond programme and often occur several times throughout a year. They are based on pre-agreed templates in which details specific to the particular bond issue are recorded. The software that Neksus is developing seeks to capitalise on the opportunities that drawdown transactions and the wider field of template automation offer by developing the following two cloud-based services: a) a subscription-based service providing an extensive source of data relating to parties, capital markets industry features and individual bond programmes for use in populating templates to produce documentation; and b) a cloud-based portal providing a single platform for the automated generation of documents from bespoke templates and the coordination of documents in connection with drawdowns.
