Nearstory was sparked during a road trip through Oregon’s Columbia Gorge. Cofounder Giovanni Salimena wanted to enrich his experience with audio, but realized the curious listener faced numerous obstacles. He realized that amazing high quality audio exists, but it is incredibly siloed. It is also insufficiently tagged, making it extremely difficult for listeners to find in search engines. They must spend hours digging through multiple websites and apps to find the right stories, then vet each source for quality. The solution was to create Nearstory. We search, connect, tag and vet for you!
