Nanogence: It signifies the combination of nanotechnology with intelligence. An EPFL spin-off, nanogence with its disruptive innovation aims in creating Novel Material Solutions. Nanogence aspires to be a global synthetic material solutions company. We take part in the production, research, development, and sales of all types of novel synthetic materials. Our disruptive process technologies enable solutions for various industries and support the cradle-to-cradle loop.
First product focus in the construction sector: Hereby combining the knowledge of chemistry, material science & nanotechnology to develop environmentally friendly chemicals and additives for the construction industry to reduce the cost, improve performance, improve durability and cut down the carbon footprint for sustainable construction. It also produces material & hardware for automated construction.
The global construction market is set to reach $ 10T market. The most used substance after water on this planet is concrete. On average, 4 billion tons is produced and consumed per year. Unfortunately, the manufacturing and use of this building material make up about 5-8% of the world's total carbon emissions. Yet no other building material can rival with the abundance and price of concrete. Additionally, spending on repair and maintenance of infrastructure and buildings accounts for large chunks of public and private spending.
We aim to help cement and concrete manufacturers to achieve huge reductions in production costs and cut down on the carbon emission by offering them our innovative products. Our product applications range from Road, mining, cement production, tunnels, oil & gas and automation.
