Minibrew heeft een apparaat ontwikkeld dat consumenten in staat stelt om thuis kwalitatief hoogstaand bier te brouwen. Via een app kan het brouwproces gevolgd worden en kunnen tevens beveiligde brouwcodes besteld worden. Door deze digitalisatie van bierbrouwen wordt het kostbare en vervuilende traditionele vervoersproces met bier in fust, krat of blik vervangen en wordt iedere consument potentieel een duurzame brouwer. Het verdienmodel van de onderneming bestaat uit het brouwsysteem met aanvullende producten zoals extra tapfusten, de verkoop van brouwcodes en licentievergoedingen van brouwers voor de ondersteuning van bieren en brouwcodes. Minibrew is een sterke marketingformule waarbij de omzet door pre-orders vóór de daadwerkelijke productie uitloopt, de eerste fysieke levering van apparaten wordt namelijk verwacht in Q2 2017. Minibrew werd in een verkiezing van Sprout verkozen tot startup van het jaar 2016.
