Micropol Fiberoptic AB is one of Sweden's oldest companies within the fibreoptic industry. The company is one of the world's most experienced companies regarding fibreoptic applications for demanding environments. The products are used within a wide spectrum, from complex fibreoptic networks within telecoms and data communication, to advanced sensor systems for industrial (i.e. mining, forestry, and offshore), medical and military applications.
Micropol are specialists in fibreoptic solutions for demanding environments, but the whole thing started with a Russian submarine in the Swedish archipelago. The event led to a focus on fibreoptics within defence, which was the starting pistol for an innovative predecessor.
