MGS Mfg. Group in Germantown, Wisconsin serves as corporate headquarters and houses two of our four tooling groups. MGS Tooling – Moldmakers Incorporated, is a group of toolmakers, designers, programmers, technicians and project managers that deliver hundreds of injection molds each year, from prototype and proof-of-performance molds to high cavity production tooling systems. Our shop has decades of experience designing and building single shot & multishot, tight tolerance, thin wall, auto-unscrewing, collapsible core, hot runner, insert and multi-cavity molds.
MGS Manufacturing operates facilities in Wisconsin, Illinois, New York, Mexico and Ireland and serves the healthcare, electronics, automotive, consumer products and industrial markets/industries. Certifications vary according to each facility’s customer requirements and include ISO 9001:2008, ISO 13485:2003, TS 16949:2009 and ISO 14001:2004. Over 37,000 square feet of clean room molding and assembly capabilities are available, certified to ISO Class 7 and 8.
MGS Equipment (Universal Multishot Systems� and MGS Automation) builds multishot machinery (rotary platens, portable injection units and hot runner controllers), turnkey manufacturing systems, automated and semi-automated multi-component assembly / 100% validation / custom packaging systems and custom molding machines optimized to our customer’s applications. MGS Mfg. Group has a demonstrable history of success with regard to supporting all phases of manufacturing systems development, sampling, test / debug, validation, transfer and launch.
MGS is a world leader in the development of multishot manufacturing technologies and In-Mold Assembly enabled tooling systems. Multishot (multiple material) molding adds significant value to plastic products: soft-touch enhancements (hand tools, toothbrushes, razor handles, writing instruments), performance improvements via molded-in gaskets/o-rings/seals, permanent graphics through the use of additional colored resins and part functionality with in-mold-assembly techniques.
