It’s no secret - healthcare is expensive and it is evolving rapidly. Healthcare expenditure accounts for $3 trillion per year which is over 17% of US GDP (CDC 2014). To realign proper incentives and reduce preventable costs, in 2015, Center for Medicaid and Medicare declared a goal to change reimbursement model from 90% fee-for-service to 90% value-based. Whether it’s capitation, bundled payments, or readmissions penalties, there is one thing we know for certain - avoidable mistakes are no longer tolerable.

Meanwhile, the one place that health care providers have yet to make a meaningful impact is also the one place that offer the greatest opportunity for improvement - engaging patients outside of the boundaries of the hospital.

This is where Medumo comes in.

We believe that great technologies and implementation models have already been developed in other industries that can solve the problem of patient navigation. We simply have to put it to use in the right way with the right people. Our mission is therefore to build a platform that optimizes patient engagement and generate actionable data to drive outcomes in the most efficient way possible.

We combine technologies in mobile communication and artificial intelligence to equip providers with the capability to engage their patients more without more time or money. We also empower patients by giving them the right information at precisely the time of need. Our ultimate vision is a more transparent, knowledgeable and healthy world.
