Magellan’s LeadCare® platform has been used to diagnose lead poisoning for nearly twenty years. The company markets a family of FDA-cleared systems that offer the fastest, simplest way to perform blood lead testing. These range from a point-of-care system used primarily in pediatricians’ offices to higher-throughput systems for diagnostic laboratories. Magellan was acquired by Meridian Bioscience in March 2016.
