The all composite structural design of the KineticCore Battery contains no hazardous materials, which greatly simplifies safety, shipping and recycling compared to chemical batteries. The useful life of a KineticCore Battery is designed to exceed 30 years with up to 12 full power cycles per day providing 25-150 kWs of user selectable continuous power capability. KineticCore batteries incorporate the best features of both chemical energy storage (lower initial cost, higher energy density, deployable, & compact) with kinetic energy storage (long life, less than $0.02/kWh LCOE, higher power, exact energy levels, non toxic materials) into one economical package. KineticCore batteries bridge the gap between lower power/low cycle/long discharge chemical batteries (<0.25C) and high power/high cycle/fast discharge (>4.0C) Ultra-capacitors. This "gap" is where chemical batteries tend to get used up too fast and require high replacement costs and that Ultra-capacitors are just not utilized enough to justify the high initial cost.
