Kapsule is driving forward universal access to affordable, and authentic medicines. Kapsule is a blockchain supported supply chain and B2B managed marketplace system that enables big-pharmaceutical companies to sell directly to fragmented emerging markets. The African pharmaceutical market is surging faster than the supporting infrastructure and technology coverage, which governments and agencies would typically rely on for visibility and regulation enforcement. There has also been a grey market growing in parallel, with thousands of disparate vendors providing the only means of pharmaceutical access. Due in part to this unregulated grey market, recent statistics reveal 17% - 80% of circulating pharmaceuticals, to be either substandard or falsified (depending on the medicine type and location). In addition, inefficiencies and lack of oversight lead patients to spend up to 21x the international reference price while bearing the brunt of this risk.
