Content that is posted in violation of this Code of Conduct may be blocked or removed at The Joint Commission’s sole discretion. Violations may cause your access to this site or ability to post content to be suspended or terminated.

To help The Joint Commission maintain dialogue that is relevant and respectful of the rights of others, please avoid submitting comments, posts or images on The Joint Commission’s digital platforms that:
• Spread false and/or defamatory information.
• Include content that is political, discriminatory, slanderous, libelous, malicious, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, political, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy or right to publicity, or otherwise violative of any law or copyright.
• Constitute spamming (e.g., posting with such frequency or repetitiveness that others may be discouraged from posting, posts that are irrelevant to the topic and/or The Joint Commission’s mission, and "follow me" posts) or trolling (defined as comments that appear intended to send the discussion in a fruitless direction).
• Advertise or promote commercial services, products or causes.
• Include personally identifiable information, such as an address, phone number, Social Security number or other sensitive information.

This is a discussion forum for Joint Commission accredited health care organizations, employees, communities and patients. It is not a channel for bullying or ranting. While it is not our intent to ban individuals from our social media sites, we will remove abusive and/or inflammatory content.

All patient safety events must be reported directly to The Joint Commission’s Office of Quality and Patient Safety (OQPS). We cannot act on information acquired from social media and ask that appropriate details be shared through OQPS’s secure online portal.
