INTELLLEX provides intelligent and intuitive Knowledge Management solutions in the legal domain. INTELLLEX helps lawyers leverage connections and insights from their vast amounts of knowledge to enhance their quality of work. Our Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) technology automatically extracts important metadata about your work and organises it for easy retrieval and discoverability.
INTELLLEX currently has their primary office in Singapore and another one in London. We are part of the pioneer batch at Barclays Bank's LawTech Lab and selected to be a co-innovation partner with Thomson Reuters.
We have two products, STACKS and SOURCE, to help users find relevant documents and answers to their questions from both internal and external sources:
STACKS is an intelligent knowledge library, tapping on our technology to automatically categorise documents according to legal dimensions. Lawyers are able to draw on collective knowledge, past and present, easily. Dormant data is leveraged with our legal Knowledge Graph, which allows law firms to focus on unlocking insights from their knowledge assets.
Using STACKS, a piece of work that would normally be forgotten or lost is saved, which can help a lawyer avoid having to start their work from scratch. Firms can take comfort in knowing that their institutional knowledge is always accounted for, even with rapid turnover and evolving client needs.
SOURCE is contextual search engine specifically designed for legal use and keeps your information pool relevant. The search engine understands legal terms and the user’s intent, allowing a lawyer’s search experience to be more productive. The A.I. enhances the lawyer’s search queries and automatically extracts relevant legal questions to further guide you to the relevant resource. Together, these two tools streamline the work processes of legal research and knowledge management.
Successful knowledge management is important, but the required tasks to do so are burdensome and not integrated into a firm’s workflow. As more clients reject the billable-hour model, the pressure for lawyers to be efficient is greater than ever. Integrating knowledge across information silos is essential; however, this comes with its own challenges:
1. Colleagues waste time duplicating work they didn’t know already existed.
2. Domain expertise is organized by client matter, so relevant legal knowledge is not shared.
3. Documents are organized by ID/name, but lawyers only recall them by their legal topic; if they don’t remember the specific name, it becomes impossible to retrieve it.
4. Knowledge loss is common in firms, due to departing lawyers and replacement lawyers.
INTELLLEX provides a solution, giving law firms an advantage over their competitors as it can reduce their research time 30%-60%, allowing them to take on more cases, or automate tedious duties so that a firm’s lawyers can focus on higher-yield tasks. A.I. technology transforms information overflow into the opportunity to fully take advantage of a firm’s intellectual capital. By using INTELLLEX, lawyers can reduce inefficiencies and deliver greater quality to their clients.
