Why we made it:
Being an amateur investor, I wanted something like this to make my research process and everyday life regarding investing easier. Investing, especially for someone not in the finance industry, is a hard task because of the lack of different perspectives and peers to discuss and confer with. I want somewhere where I discuss Apple's latest earnings or the durability of Tesla's batteries. When I was just starting out, I wanted a place to not only ask questions but also get deeper understanding of DCF analysis and corporate structures.
The importance of crowdsourced information in modern day of investing is integral. Investing is no longer an archaic paradigm of professionals investors talking to each other, but amateur investors joining in a community that breeds the same type of analysis.
In order to take full advantage of crowdsourced opinions, there needs to be a systematic way of posting and navigating, an environment where intelligent and quality conversations are taking place, and a curation system where users can choose what they want to see.
It’s a step ahead of current services:
Inqora is different from the traditional model of interaction of forums, blogs and articles, as all these options are decentralized and do not have a systematic navigation system where users can find information efficiently. The UI and UX is also extremely outdated, something that we inherently change through our personalized blog esque system. Inqora fixes those problems by having a centralized database of companies and groups. It has a curation system where users "subscribe" to relevant companies and groups, unlike other mediums of interaction where posts are susceptible to peripheral noise.
If an investor wants to discuss about Amazon's latest products he will have to navigate to a certain post in a forum or go to an article in a news site. If there are no existing posts, he will have to create a new thread, which may or may not get noticed. If an beginner investor wants to ask a question, there is Google available, but no service that provides an extended interaction to solidify his questions.
