Infinis is a leading renewable power generator and the largest generator of power from landfill gas in the UK and has retained the largest portfolio in the UK with around 40% market share. Our power is supplied to a number of major offtakers. In 2017, we exported 1,578 GWh of electricity from landfill gas sources, equivalent to 2.5% of total UK generation from renewable sources.
We operate a portfolio of landfill gas sites across the UK, employing approximately 290 people across 121 operating sites with an aggregate generating capacity of 288 MW. Infinis achieves unmatched scale benefits through its unique in-house operational excellence model. Our 24/7 logistics centre monitors and controls our sites, and our 'Centre of Excellence' overhaul facility in Lancaster overhauls all of our engines across the fleet.
Our large network of embedded generation plants puts us in close contact with local communities. We are actively engaged with them and ensure our operations are in full compliance with local environmental and
planning requirements.
