There are about 2 million former child soldiers across West Africa that faced major challenges of social reintegration from government, family and friend, for which it places our post war communities into a state of fear and the reoccurrence of conflict. Many of these children are usually vulnerable to violence, and can be used at any time to instate any form of violence activities for selfish political motive. If we don’t have the relevant programs put in place that will pay careful attention to the rehabilitation and reintegration of these vulnerable youth in Liberia and across the sub region, we will definitely be building a country or region without foundation; we will be escaping a major responsibility that is paramount to the rebuilding of peace and security in Liberia and West Africa. We need to clean up the mess from the root of the conflict, so that our public can benefit from the growing peace and security we are building in the Liberia and West Africa. Security is the foundation towards the success of any post war nation. Many of these FCS and WAFF are roaming around with this loaded challenge of social reintegration, creating insecurity for post war communities. In West Africa, they can usually be found in huge number in post war Liberia, Sierra Leone and Ivory Coast.
