ICEHOTEL AB i Jukkasjärvi är en av Sveriges mest unika internationella reseanledningar. Gästerna kommer från 80 länder och 75 procent är utländska. ICEHOTEL har fått många priser genom åren och blev utsett till Nordens bästa varumärke för något år sedan. Utöver ett hotell är det också en av Sveriges största konsthallar, som återuppstår varje år med hjälp av ett 50-tal konstnärer.
Under 2016 byggdes ICEHOTEL 365. Det är en hållbar byggnad, med is och snökonst samt en isbar och utställningsrum där det är -5C under hela året. Kylmaskiner behövs under barmarkstiden och får då sin energi från solcellspaneler. Midnattssolen ger solkyla.
Verksamheten har 120 årsarbetskrafter med en huvuddel av anställda under vinterperioden.
– Fort Knox har bidragit med investeringskapital och kunnande som ska göra verksamheten mycket lönsam, berättar Yngve Bergqvist, grundare av ICEHOTEL.
