Chiara Faust is a seasoned professional with a broad range of experiences in research, mental health, and executive leadership. She's currently serving as a Director at Hopscotch Markets, a position she's held for over three years.
Chiara previously enriched her research skills at the University of Illinois, Chicago, where she was a Research Assistant for nearly three years. Her work there revolved around laboratory research on future thinking and the coding of transcripts. In the mental health sphere, Chiara was a Mental Health Specialist at Garfield Park Behavioral Hospital for eight months, leading cognitive-behavioral group therapy sessions and responding to acute crisis situations.
Internationally, Chiara has contributed to two NGOs based in Spain: Mujeres Entre Mundos and Rompe Tus Cadenas. Through these internships, she helped to promote gender equality, support drug users and their families, and foster cross-cultural understanding. Back at the University of Illinois, she further honed her research skills by assisting with data gathering on cognitive behavior in humans and studying memory formation. Chiara's professional journey began with volunteer work at La Casa del Sol in Mexico, where she provided care and counseling for abused and neglected children.
Luca is currently finishing his MSc in Sustainable Energy at the Technical University of Denmark specializing in Energy Systems Analysis. He is particularly interested in energy systems modeling as means to analyze and optimize the integration of renewable energy technologies in energy markets.
Marco is the Founder Hopscotch. He loves to find ways to break, rebuild and iterate on new technologies. Whether developing arbitrage engines, wiring up hybrid electric powertrains or writing patents on terrain optimization, Marco is always listening, learning and building.
Marco started his career as a Java developer with a strong background in Computer Science and Computer Engineering from major Italian and US Universities. Personal interest and job necessity led him to acquire parallel skills in CI/CD, Cloud services, infrastructure design, automation.
In 2021, Marco joined Hopscotch to help build a solid, secure, and performant cloud infrastructure, and develop Web3 integrations.
