Hop Exchange is a multichain bridge connecting Ethereum with Layer- networks. It allows users to send tokens quickly from one rollup to another without waiting for the networks challenge period. The protocol works by involving market makers (known as Bonder), who pay a small fee to facilitate liquidity at the destination chain.
Hop Exchange has two core pieces to its protocol architecture that make it possible for users to send tokens almost instantly across networks instead of having to wait multiple days. It is a protocol for sending tokens across rollups and their shared layer- network in a quick and trustless manner.
