H-Quest is a US-based start-up that is developing a low-temperature plasma conversion process to derive fuels, chemicals, and advanced carbon materials, including graphene and carbon fiber, from low-cost, abundant feedstocks such as natural gas. H Quest’s modular decarbonization systems can integrate seamlessly with conventional industrial boilers and furnaces or natural gas delivery pipelines across the United States. Each electrically-powered system would process 200 mcf of natural gas to liberate one ton of hydrogen per day. The H Quest process releases no greenhouse gases, and if the electricity used is produced from 100% renewable energy, it is entirely emission-free.
