The Italian Food Excellence Group is a leader in the production and distribution of gnocchi, fresh pasta and high- quality ready meals and sauces, with a unique international positioning thanks to the reputation of its brands. The Group was created from the aggregation of four companies active in the industry: Master, Buona Compagnia Gourmet, Michelis and Il Ceppo. Master specializes in the production of high-end gnocchi and other regional specialties such as spatzle. Buona Compagnia Gourmet was Master's main competitor but with the union of the two companies IFEX is the only Group in the gnocchi market to produce directly from the processing of fresh steamed potatoes and not from the commonly used potato starch. Alongside Michelis, Italian excellence in the production of fresh plain and stuffed pasta, and Il Ceppo, a historic gastronomy in the center of Vicenza that has developed over the years a structured laboratory in which gastronomic lines dedicated to exclusively premium wholesaler are produced. At a consolidated level, IFEX today has a turnover of around 100 million euros and has 7 production plants, including one in the United States, as well as a strong international presence in more than 25 countries and an export share equal to 30% of total turnover. Value creation Aksìa Group (through Aksìa Capital V) acquired Master from its founders with the aim of creating, through a buy and build strategy, the premium hub of gnocchi, fresh pasta and high-quality ready meals. A few months after the first acquisition, Aksìa has completed 3 new add-ons and will support the companies in strengthening of the management team that will drive and favor the integration of the Group and allow them to generate and exploit commercial and production synergies and foster international expansion, particularly in the US.
