Global Woods International is a forestry company that has been operating under a tree-farming license to establish and manage the 12, hectare forest in Kikonda Forest Reserve in Uganda since 2002. They grow a variety of tree species in the plantation to produce saw-logs and fuel wood.
Their projects are adapted to local conditions and designed with a long-term perspective. They are pioneers because each tree planting project is unique. With their experienced and international team, they make sure that cultural and social requirements are taken into account. They have planted over 10 million trees worldwide which sequester over 2 million tons of CO.
