As young people, we're always stressed about money. But that doesn’t mean we don’t want to break the cycle. Of course, we want to! But let’s be honest, finance feels boring, intimidating and it’s filled with words you don’t even understand. So we decided to take finance and make it Gen Z friendly. But finance apps never work. How is Frich different? We make money social. If you’re reading this, you’ve probably already tested multiple personal finance apps and know the usual drill - “download, set unrealistic goals, get excited, delete a month later”. None of these apps get that money is inherently social, especially when you’re young. We are constantly under the pressure to keep up with our friends and, when we can’t afford something, it’s awkward to say “hey, it’s too expensive for me”. Of course, you want to join for the weekend brunch or Thursday night drinks! No one likes to turn down plans because you are supposed to ‘stick to a budget’. That’s why we turned personal finances into social finances. Set spending goals together with friends and keep each other accountable through challenges. Challenge each other to take fewer Ubers, have less drinks outside or stop eating out every other night. See each other's progress and achieve the goal together.
