Calormet’s area of specialty is heat treatment of metals within the steel and aluminum industries. The company has a long history and a strong position on the Nordic region market. Calormet was formed in 2021 when Pegroco acquired Industrial Furnace Tech i Eskilstuna AB and merged it with its existing portfolio company Nordic Furnaces.
Calormet is a specialist in furnaces for heat treatment of iron, steel, aluminium , zinc and other metals. The company offers new furnaces as well as modernization and maintenance of existing furnaces, both its own and those from third parties. Among customers are most of the major heavy industry companies like Volvo, SKF, Atlas Copco, Sandvik, SSAB, etc. Industrial furnaces are used in many places in the production processes for metal products. Heat treatment is a key process step to give a metal component the desired characteristics, e.g. hardness. Market drivers are the companies’ desire to reduce energy costs, improved maintenance planning and improved use of capacity.
