Friends of Science Society is a non-profit organization created to educate the public and policy makers on climate science, policy and economics. We are a group of earth, atmospheric, solar scientists, Professional Engineers, Professional Geoscientists, economists, business people and citizens. HISTORY: Since 2002, Friends of Science Society has challenged the climate change claims of the Kyoto Accord, and we continue to challenge the ideology of the Paris COP-21 Agreement on economic and climate science grounds. PHILOSOPHY: It is our view that the Sun is the main direct and indirect driver of climate change; and that human influence on climate through carbon dioxide emissions is nominal. Our earth scientists have studied 4 billion years of natural climate change; politicians can't stop climate change but they can ruin the economy with poor policy. We review climate science, policy and economics and offer educational insights and reports to policy-makers and the public. We strive to present complex concepts of carbon pricing in plain language so that everyone can make informed decisions on climate change policies. MEMBERSHIP: Members receive bi-monthly "Extracts"​ - a round-up of world energy and climate change news, and "Cli-Sci"​ a summary of recent academic and peer-reviewed climate change studies. We host one major annual event and we have a number of speakers available for service clubs. Membership is open to the public. ALLEGIANCES: We do not represent any industry, are funded by individual memberships and donations, and we think sound public policy should be evidence-based, and not reliant on faulty computer simulations.
