Energy Intelligence is developing a technology that generates electricity and data from the motion of vehicles. The system is installed at high-traffic locations like parking garages and border crossings to power equipment onsite (e.g. lighting) and reduce the facilities' electric bill, in some cases more than 20% at no upfront cost. The system is made up of an innovatively designed mat and custom generator that, together with hydraulics, harness the breaking power of vehicles to produce electricity. The company has received three issued patents, won numerous grants and awards including 43North, The Rise of the Rest, and the AT&T Shape Challenge, totaling more than $1M in capital invested in the business, and is led by an incredible team of business and technical experts.
