Endostart is a clinical stage Italian start-up founded in 2018 that has developed a novel proprietary anchoring technology to facilitate completion of difficult colonoscopies.
The first product is Endorail, an endoscopic magnetic anchor guiding a colonoscope up to the caecal tract, with the aim of enabling fast, safe and painless completion of challenging colonoscopies.
The use of the Endorail system (CE marked) will reduce the number of incomplete colonoscopies decreasing the need of a short term second examination together with associated costs and patient associated risks.
The Endostart approach could also support a variety of other upper and lower gastrointestinal tract procedures.
